
THE CHALLENGE
The original scope of the project was defined as investigating a new graphic design for the collaterals of the cafe, limited to the menu and possible communication material for the restaurant's special music events. Considering the positioning, high potential and loyal following of the concept, I further investigated the opportunity to deliver a new brand identity which is both inspired by, in line with, and respectful of the current concept ambience and personality.
Mira Luna is an invitation to relax, and fully experience the soothing and rejuvenating property of the sea, from the rich sea plates served on the table and the maritime theme of the decorations, to the charming and inspiring view of the sea and its waves, that deliver a feel of longing and belonging at the same time.

BRAND STORY
Reflective of the genuine and honest value proposition of Mira Luna, which offers a relaxed and serendipitous view on the beach of Xabia, the identity was built as an extension of the warm and uncomplicated hospitality of the concept.
Mira Luna is an invitation to relax, and fully experience the soothing and rejuvenating property of the sea, from the rich sea plates served on the table and the maritime theme of the decorations, to the charming and inspiring view of the sea and its waves, that deliver a feel of longing and belonging at the same time. And so just as the moon directs and dance with the tide, so Mira Luna invites its guests to take a moment for themselves, hearing their inner thoughts and emotions, and transform their inner storms and rough seas, in calm and soothing waters to sail.
Trough music, seafood, sun, sand, and drink Mira Luna invites you to enjoy life and live your day at the “Rhythm of the tide”.



VISUAL IDENTITY
Maintaining the original elements of the logo, a revision of the same was developed to modernize the overall feel of the brand identity, without requiring additional changes and expenses to the existing assets in the restaurant (i.e. plates, awnings). Inspired by the way the moon directs and dance with the tide, we introduced an abstract and simple system of icon reflecting the different states of the sea.



SIGNAGE & COLLATERALS
By combining the newly developed identity system, with the color palette extrapolated from the unit current design, we obtain a wide variety of graphical elements that can be used in combination with each other over multiple media of communication (i.e. menu, socials, call cards...).These were designed in the colors of the unit, to once again enhance and not disrupt the current appeal of the concept in the city.
